I've been hearing that the new TAKS pull out plan and other incentives being taken to raise TAKS scores at Humble High School is because HHS has been below academic standards for too long, and if it continues, the Texas Education Agency will be stepping in and taking control of Humble High! Is this true?
Answer:
Absolutely untrue. Humble ISD administrators work hard to develop and implement strategies that will help students at ALL campuses improve in areas shown to need improvement. Every campus in the district, including HHS,has improvement strategies in place tailored to the needs of the students.
You can get information about the TAKS testing and ratings in Texas from the Humble ISD Dept. of Accountability at 281-641-8120 or see detailed information on the Accountability pages of the Humble ISD web site.
